Frazer Solar is a global developer of utility scale and nationally significant renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on developing countries in Africa. The company was founded by Australian renewable energy entrepreneur and philanthropist Robert Frazer in 2016. The Frazer Solar group includes Frazer Solar Pty Ltd (FSA) based in Australia and Frazer Solar GmbH (FSG) based in Germany. Frazer Solar is known for its corporate social responsibility and extensive capacity building and poverty eliminating activities in the countries in which it operates.
Robert Frazer has 30 years of extensive senior executive experience in Australia, Asia and Africa covering a diverse range of industries including venture capital, electricity, manufacturing, telecommunications as well as renewable energy. He is MBA and BA qualified.
The wider company group includes IPP investment and ownership company Frazium Energy Pty Ltd (FZM) which is based in Australia with operations in Africa.
The company's flagship development is the Eswatini Solar-Storage project which will initially comprise 200 MWH growing to 800 MWH of daily supply of fully dispatchable baseload electricity to the SADC grid. FSA is the developer and FZM is the IPP. Phase 1 will come online in 2022.
